Thanks so much for writing about my book. You're right that "real-time" has been part of the crisis communications playbook for decades. But nearly all companies overlook real time opportunities that come along at any time.

Robert -- Thank you for this. I found the info extremely helpful as I am preparing to take on a very sensitive and targeted news release for a client.

Any chance you'd be able to loop back with an update on each service?

Many thanks again -- very helpful!

Robert - thanks for this very clear analysis and points of differentiation between the wires. Sales people are often unable to clarify specific points - and I also appreciate the response you received from PR Newswire. I am please to have found your helpful blog ( and, full disclosure, am also an SU Grad!) No wonder you write so well.

cheers,

Robin, to answer your question, yes they can delete personal profile page. However, they must have a business account on Facebook in order to manage the "Fan" page.

Here's Facebook's help page on the subject: <a href="http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/help/?faq=12839" rel="nofollow">http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/help/?faq=12839</a>

Hi Robert,
Any chance you'd publish the metrics you cited above? eg. inbound links, Alexa Traffic Rank, Google Index Pages or national distribution price I did some research on the 4 a few years ago (just by working with reps from each) and I could not find really any difference between the big 3. I've been using Marketwire because it was least expensive - and PRWeb for the budget conscious. But I'd love to re-evaluate between PRN, BW and MW.
Thanks
